Flats and terraces
Net bags and barrow bags are what most terraced customers order. They can be carried through a hallway to a back garden, with no barrow and nowhere to tip needed.
No minimum order · delivered free
A net bag is a carry-home bag of logs: enough for an evening by the fire, and easy to take through the house. A barrow bag is about nine nets’ worth. Both are delivered free across most BH postcodes, with no minimum order.

For a fire pit or a chiminea, where nets are most often used. An open fire has no air control, so it burns by the hour.

A chiminea or small brazier burns about 3kg of dry hardwood an hour once it is going, so a four-hour evening is about 12kg: a net bag and a bit. Two net bags of seasoned mixed (£12 each) leaves a margin so nobody runs out at ten o’clock.
A fire pit bowl gets through nearly twice that, and a big open pit three times. If you light it most weekends, a barrow bag at £70 works out far cheaper per night.
Who they suit
Net bags and barrow bags are what most terraced customers order. They can be carried through a hallway to a back garden, with no barrow and nowhere to tip needed.
One evening by the fire is about one net bag. If you light it a few times a month, a barrow bag covers a few weeks of weekend fires.
For one evening, nets are fine. If you light the fire pit regularly, a barrow bag works out far cheaper per night.

Nets are for convenience, not for value. If you burn regularly and have anywhere dry at all, look at the bigger sizes.

A log will not light from a match. Every fire is built in three layers: a firelighter, then kindling, then logs. Add any of these to a firewood order and they arrive on the same truck.

Small dry sticks that catch from a firelighter and burn hot enough to light your logs. The one thing every fire needs.

They are the dearest way to buy firewood by volume, because you are paying for the bag, the handling and the trip. For regular fires a ton bag is far better value. For the odd fire, or where there is nowhere to keep a ton bag, nets are the right answer.
