Locally
Ferndown is one of the easiest places we deliver. It's overwhelmingly post-war and later detached and semi-detached housing on generous plots, which in firewood terms means proper driveways, room to swing a vehicle, and somewhere obvious to tip a load. Half transits and full transits do noticeably better here than they do in Bournemouth.
The area around the golf club and out toward Dudsbury has some substantial houses, several with more than one fire, and those tend to be full transit customers who order once in autumn and don't think about it again. West Parley and Longham are similar – big gardens, log stores, space to season your own if you fancy it.
That space is why Ferndown buys more unseasoned than most of our area. If you've got a spare corner behind a shed, buying fresh-cut at £59/m³ and stacking it for eighteen months is genuinely half the price of buying it ready. Plenty of people here do exactly that on a rolling basis.

Worth a read
Yes – BH22 is inside the free zone with no charge and no minimum. That covers Ferndown town, West Parley, Longham, Stapehill, Dudsbury and Tricketts Cross. West Moors is BH22 as well and has its own page.
Yes. Kiln dried logs at 5 to 11% moisture start at £15, and seasoned logs at 9 to 14% moisture start at £12. Both are delivered free to Ferndown (BH22), cut to 8–10 inches and ready to burn the day they land.
Almost always. Ferndown plots are generally generous and the roads are wide, which is why we do proportionally more full transits here than anywhere else in our patch. Just have a spot in mind before we arrive.
If you can wait 12 to 18 months, genuinely yes. Unseasoned works out around £59/m³ against £95 for seasoned mixed. Stack it off the ground, roof over the top, sides open. Ferndown gardens tend to have the room for it.
Yes – businesses on the Ferndown estate are inside the free zone the same as houses. If it's a regular supply rather than a one-off, ring us and we'll set up an account with invoicing.
