Highcliffe is clifftop, coastal and largely bungalows, and the sea makes a genuine difference to how you keep firewood here. Damp salt air will happily creep back into a stack left uncovered, and a log that arrived at 18% moisture can be well above that by January if it's sat open to the weather on an exposed plot.
So the advice we give Highcliffe customers is slightly different from inland: get a roof over it, and get it off the ground. A cheap log store or even a pallet with a sheet across the top makes more difference here than it does in Wimborne. Leave the sides open though – wrapping the stack is worse than doing nothing.
Beyond that it's a straightforward area to deliver into. Wide roads, decent driveways, and a lot of customers who order a ton bag in autumn and another after Christmas. The clifftop properties with sea views are also the ones with the most exposed log piles, which is not a coincidence.
