Locally
Colehill is the most wooded parish we deliver to regularly, and it shows in the orders. Big plots, mature gardens, a lot of established oak and beech, and houses that were built with fireplaces meant to be used. People here tend to know what they want and order it in quantity.
It is also the part of our patch where we most often collect as well as deliver. The tree cover around Cannon Hill and Furzehill means steady arisings, and a fair proportion of the hardwood that leaves our yard as seasoned mixed grew a mile or two from where it ends up being burnt.
For access, Colehill is straightforward in the main and awkward in patches. The roads off Wimborne Road West take a loaded transit without difficulty. Some of the long private drives toward Cannon Hill are a different matter, and it is always worth a word when you order so we send the right vehicle.

Usually, but it is worth mentioning when you order. A loaded transit needs room to turn and firm ground to tip on. Where a drive is long, soft or has a tight entrance, ton bags craned off at the top are the sensible answer and cost the same to deliver.
Seasoned hardwood or seasoned ash. Both are pure hardwood with no lighter timber in the mix, so they burn longer and hotter than a mixed load – which matters on an open fire, where you are losing more heat up the chimney to begin with.
